Key Responsibilities Maintain relationships with customers, steamship lines, truckers and warehouse. Negotiating rates with vendors (steamship lines, truckers). Ensure Department emails are addressed timely by the team. Assist and coach Team members in problem solvingManaging Department time and attendance. Ensuring Department KPI’s are met. Decision maker for loading/rolling decisions where financial matters and customer requirements are considered. Maintain relationships with overseas agents and ensuring agent agreements are followed. Ocean carrier selection. Ensure shipments are processed in compliance with the laws and regulations governing for US Export Industry. Implement procedures to improve productivity, quality, efficiency and profitability. Other duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Ability to lead and manage small to mid-size team. Familiar with ocean container load planning. Functional knowledge of IMDG and CFR-49 regulations. Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging environment. Knowledge of geography.
