Anticipated selection process (which may be subject to change): The District reserves the right to utilize a flexible pass point (cut-off) on any test part to meet the staffing needs as determined by the District.

Written Examination: The written examination portion of the test may have multiple steps which may be administered on different days (50% of total score).

Oral Examination: The oral examination portion of the test may have multiple steps which may be administered on different days (50% of total score).

Participation in the examination process is by official invitation only. Candidates who do not participate and successfully pass all parts of the examination process will not be considered for the position.

Position details and duties: Full-time position: Eight (8) hours per day; eleven (11) months per year.

Basic function: The job of Speech/Language Pathology Assistant is done for the purpose/s of providing appropriate speech therapy for students who have been identified with communication disorders to meet the individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and in collaboration with Speech and Language Pathologist; screening students for functional developmental levels in pre-language and language skills and oral motor control; and screening for possible communication challenges that would impact the student's learning. This job reports to the assigned Administrator.
