Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekdays with every other weekend required | Contract, Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit serving cardiac, vascular, surgical, pulmonary, and telemetry patient populations
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Document patient assessments, care plans, and interventions accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Participate in every other weekend rotation as required by the unit
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
• Adhere to all facility compliance requirements, including mandatory flu vaccination during flu season (October 1 – March 31), unless a documented medical exemption is provided by an allergist or physician

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical/Telemetry specialty experience required
• Active West Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required ; pending license accepted at time of submission
• BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications required (must be through the American Heart Association)
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Former permanent employees must have a minimum 2-year gap from their last date of permanent employment before being eligible for a travel contract at this facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for cardiac, vascular, or pulmonary patient populations
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
• Experience in a Level IV Trauma Center or major teaching hospital environment
• Comfort with float assignments within scope of practice
