As an intern, you will be challenged with completing projects that will enhance your skills all while being provided with coaching, mentorship and networking opportunities. This program offers the opportunity to grow your skills, build lasting professional relationships, work in a high performing team environment, and foster your competitive spirit!This structured 10-week internship program is hosted both in-office and virtually. Our Interns are required to reside in the St. Louis area through the duration of the program. Interns will be onsite 1 to 2 times per week to participate in coordinated group internship events and development activities. Interns generally have the opportunity to work either onsite or remotely the other days of the week with their assigned teams.This 10-week internship will begin on May 24, 2027 and will conclude on July 30, 2027. You must be available to work a 40-hour work week for the entire 10 weeks, working Monday through Friday.Over the course of the 10-week internship experience, you will have the opportunity to:Work directly with a mentor while finding solutions to real world problemsBuild a lasting professional network through social events and engaging activitiesInteract directly with our company leaders to learn about our IT strategy and initiativesAssist experienced team members with Information Security activities, as assignedParticipate on special Information Security projects, as assignedAdhere to technology standards and follow documented proceduresEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and end usersAssist with end user technology installations including computer hardware, software, and telephony equipmentField end user technology support questions and resolve common issuesThe intern will also have the opportunity to meet with and learn about other infrastructure disciplines within EFM including Network, Telecom, Windows, Storage, Database Administration, and UNIXSkills and Abilities:Demonstrable analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to think outside the boxAbility to identify and creatively resolve problemsAbility to translate technical information into easy to consume communicationsExcellent customer service and relationship management skillsRequired:Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the futureMust be able to work a 40-hour work week for the entire 10-week programMust reside in the St. Louis area for the duration of the 10-week program with the ability to come onsite weekly as neededMust be a current student pursuing a degree in computer science or a related information technology field with a 3.0 GPA or higher and a graduation date of either December 2027 or May 2028 OR must have successfully completed a certification from a formal technical bootcamp prior to May 2027Must have a general understanding of networking fundamentals and client/server computingMust have technical proficiency in the following areas:Troubleshooting Business or personal PC hardware/softwareMicrosoft EdgeMS Office ProductsMust be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilitiesPreferred:Previous Internship or relevant work experienceTechnical proficiency in the following areas:Network printingLAN architectures and transport protocols (Such as TCP/IP)Smartphone technology (including Active Sync)Standard computer hardware and peripheralsRemote connectivity (e.g. Citrix)Ability to successfully balance participation in extracurricular activities or work, in addition to academicsDemonstrated leadership in extracurricular activities, or team projects in support of academicsExcellent customer service and relationship management skills
