See additional details below. Medical Assistant Highlights The pay for this position is $19.00 per hour. Schedule: Monday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (on-site) Onsite position (Travel to Bellaire is required) This position is a Temporary assignment Duration: ~4 months (coverage for leave) Responsibilities Support the clinical team in delivering safe, effective, patient-centered care. Prepare for patient visits by confirming schedules, test results, and clinic requirements. Room patients and document key visit information (chief complaint, vitals, medication list, allergies, smoking history, etc.). Perform clinic procedures as competency-validated (may include hearing/vision testing, EKG, spirometry, point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and equipment cleaning/reprocessing). Stock exam rooms and clinic supplies; clean rooms appropriately between patients. Assist with routine and specialty procedures. Schedule follow-ups/referrals and complete clerical tasks (scanning, faxing, photocopying). Handle telephone messaging and in-person screening with appropriate follow-up. Respond to emergency situations as needed. Maintain patient privacy/confidentiality (HIPAA). Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program At least 1 year of related experience BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Able to work on-site in Houston, TX and travel to the Bellaire location as needed Able to meet physical requirements (up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, 10 lbs constantly) Preferred: Medical Assistant certification such as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA Benefits Available Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
