Job Overview AMT is seeking a Transportation Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to join the transportation team at one of our Mid‑Atlantic office locations. Location Selected candidates may work from the Towson, MD; Rockville, MD; Mechanicsburg, PA; or Herndon, VA office locations, with a hybrid schedule allowing up to 2 days from home each week. Responsibilities Support a variety of projects, including data collection, existing condition and alternative analysis, and engineering reports. Develop horizontal and vertical alignments. Perform cross section and superelevation design, roadside barrier design, ADA curb ramp design, roadway modeling. Provide design support for erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater management plans, right‑of‑way plans, utility relocation plans, permit application drawings, and traffic‑related plans. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution. Minimum 3 years of experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation. Engineering‑in‑Training (EIT/FE) preferred. Experience with MicroStation OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co‑workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.
