Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients presenting with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, including evaluations of the intensity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans that align with their unique goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address clients’ mental health challenges.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices to empower them in their healing journey.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress on a continuous basis, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure optimum outcomes.
\n
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals involved in client care to ensure comprehensive and integrated service delivery.

• Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to implement improved therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to enhance personal and team growth.

• Actively advocate for clients facing mental health stigma and contribute to elevating awareness within the community about mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals dealing with mood disorders, including depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. You will work with a diverse client population that may also include vulnerable groups such as LGBTQ+ individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your involvement will directly impact client outcomes, fostering resilience and facilitating healthier relationships within families and the broader community.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and a focus on diverse client populations.

• Practiced in utilizing various therapeutic modalities beyond CBT and DBT may be a plus, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
