Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance CoordinatorThe Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for managing a 12-hour (7PM to 7AM) shift of union Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance employees on the safe execution of planned and unplanned equipment repair work activities to ensure equipment reliability and metal flow throughout the plant.Responsibilities include:Supervising all Maintenance Craft Workers; schedules/administers time & attendance, corrective actions, training initiatives, and employee coaching/development.Directing safety meetings and dialogs, performing Job Hazard Analysis, and performing Incident Investigations as needed to maintain the safest work environment possible.Taking ownership of safety processes; performing maintenance safety program audits (Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Fall Protection, PPE, mobile equipment, etc.).Elevating maintenance housekeeping standards and driving 5S performance.Maintaining a strong grasp of contract, agreements, and labor relations practices.Identifying, assisting, and resolving equipment issues through shop floor problem solving, collaboration with engineering, and ongoing employee training and development.Coordinating & communicating resource sharing between plant maintenance areas.Reviewing and documenting maintenance work activities through turnover reports from previous and oncoming shifts.Use of our CMMS System (Maximo) to enter Service Requests, manage Work Orders, and to identify spare parts in our inventory system.Scheduling, monitoring, and managing (through Maximo) all maintenance and repair work, driving continuous improvement of maintenance practices and work habits.Entering Service Requests, writing follow-up work orders from inspections and PMs. Monitoring and improving PM effectiveness.Qualifications include:Undergraduate technical degree (BSME preferred) or; Two (2) year associates degree in a maintenance discipline with five (5) years of experience in maintenance of which two (2) years was as a supervisor or a minimum of five (5) years maintenance supervisory experience.Strong Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting experience.Heavy to Light Manufacturing Maintenance ExperienceStrong PC skills, including Windows, Word, and Excel.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills.Proven ability to work in teams.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.No third party candidate submissions are being accepted at this time for this opening.We are an equal opportunity employer.
