Step into a rewarding Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity supporting students’ growth and success throughout the school year. This contract role is ideal for SLP-CCC professionals looking to make a meaningful difference in K-12 educational environments. Working on-site alongside dedicated school teams, you’ll serve one school per assignment, focusing on either a K-8 or high school caseload during maternity leave coverage.

Your responsibilities will include providing comprehensive speech-language services, collaborating with multidisciplinary school staff, and supporting students with varying needs, including those in ASD units. You’ll play a pivotal part in helping students achieve their communication and learning goals during critical periods of coverage.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid and active Florida SLP licensure (CCC required)
• Previous experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
• Strong understanding of IEPs, progress monitoring, and school-based therapy documentation
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with educators, school staff, and families
• Ability to complete time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including district fingerprinting (AHCA Clearinghouse preferred if previously printed)

Role Responsibilities:

• Serve one school per assignment to ensure focused, high-quality service
• Manage a consistent weekly schedule of 35 hours (7 hours per day, Monday-Friday)
• Provide direct therapy, assessments, and intervention for students
• Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Work closely with on-site SLP, SLPA, educators, and support staff

Assignment coverage includes:

• Palm Pointe K-8: October 5th – December 18th (maternity leave; K-8 with ASD units and SLP team support)
• Ft. Pierce Central High: September – October 20th (maternity leave; high school caseload, SLPA support onsite)
