Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Functional Lead / Migration Lead to lead functional transformation and migration initiatives from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. The role requires strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA business processes, functional design, migration strategy, data conversion, integration, testing, and cutover activities. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, technical teams, and SAP implementation partners to deliver successful S/4HANA transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration and transformation initiatives.
• Define functional migration strategy, roadmap, scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Conduct current-state assessment, business process analysis, and fit-gap analysis.
• Lead workshops with business stakeholders to identify requirements, process improvements, and S/4HANA capabilities.
• Evaluate and recommend Brownfield, Greenfield, or Selective Data Transition migration approaches.
• Lead functional design and configuration activities across relevant SAP modules.
• Drive SAP Business Partner, Material Ledger, Universal Journal, Asset Accounting, and other S/4HANA functional transformations as applicable.
• Coordinate data migration activities, including data cleansing, mapping, validation, reconciliation, and conversion.
• Work with technical teams on SAP Migration Cockpit, LSMW alternatives, ETL tools, APIs, interfaces, and custom developments.
• Identify legacy customizations and assess opportunities for SAP standardization, simplification, and remediation.
• Lead integration assessments across SAP and third-party applications.
• Coordinate functional testing, including unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and maintain functional specifications, process flows, migration requirements, test scenarios, and configuration documentation.
• Lead defect triage, root-cause analysis, issue resolution, and functional validation.
• Manage cutover planning, mock conversions, dress rehearsals, go-live readiness, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Coordinate across SAP functional leads, technical architects, developers, Basis, security, data migration, and integration teams.
• Monitor project risks, dependencies, milestones, and functional deliverables.
• Provide leadership and guidance to functional consultants and migration workstreams.
• Support change management, user training, knowledge transfer, and business adoption activities.
• Ensure SAP S/4HANA implementation follows established governance, architecture, security, and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP functional experience with significant SAP S/4HANA transformation experience.
• Strong experience leading SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration programs.
• Hands-on expertise with SAP S/4HANA business processes and functional design.
• Strong understanding of SAP Activate methodology and S/4HANA implementation lifecycle.
• Experience with Brownfield, Greenfield, and/or Selective Data Transition approaches.
• Proven experience leading functional teams and cross-functional migration workstreams.
• Strong knowledge of SAP data migration, data cleansing, mapping, reconciliation, and validation.
• Experience with SAP Migration Cockpit and S/4HANA migration tools.
• Experience with functional testing, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.
• Strong understanding of SAP integration with third-party applications and legacy systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP S/4HANA solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA certification in one or more relevant functional areas.
• Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP BTP, APIs, and modern S/4HANA architecture.
• Experience with SAP Central Business Configuration and SAP Cloud ALM.
• Experience with SAP Signavio for business process analysis and transformation.
• Experience with SAP RISE / RISE with SAP environments.
• Experience in large-scale global SAP transformation programs.
• Strong knowledge of SAP simplification items and custom code remediation.
• Experience working with offshore/onshore delivery models.
