Plasma Department Team Lead

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Team Leads to oversee daily operations within a busy Plasma Department. The Team Lead will help coordinate employees, monitor production, ensure safety and quality standards are followed, and support the efficient operation of plasma cutting equipment.

Candidates with previous supervisory or team lead experience are strongly preferred. Experience operating or working around plasma and CNC machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate employees within the Plasma Department.
• Assign daily tasks and help ensure production goals are met.
• Monitor workflow, productivity, quality, and attendance.
• Operate, monitor, or assist with plasma/CNC cutting equipment as needed.
• Ensure materials are properly loaded, positioned, and processed.
• Review finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Read and follow work orders, production drawings, and specifications.
• Help troubleshoot equipment or production issues and communicate problems to management.
• Train and assist team members with proper work procedures and equipment operation.
• Enforce company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Communicate production updates, issues, and employee concerns to management.
• Assist with other departmental duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous Team Lead, Lead, Supervisor, or similar leadership experience required.
• Experience in a manufacturing, steel, fabrication, or industrial environment preferred.
• Plasma/CNC machine experience preferred.
• Ability to read production drawings, work orders, or measurements.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to lead a team while maintaining production and quality standards.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work in an industrial environment.
