Details Hospital-based Inpatient Float Pool covering Progressive Care/Stepdown units Floats across Surgical, Neuro, Medicine, Cardiac, Cardiovascular, and Burn Center progressive care units based on facility needs May also float to acute care units with 1:5 patient ratios as needed Standard PCU patient ratios are 1:3, up to 1:4 max Night shift schedule, 7:00pm-7:00am 36 hours per week, 3 shifts of 12 hours each Weekend rotation required (every other weekend) No on-call requirements Requirements Active RN license in North Carolina (Standard or Compact) Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) ACLS and NIHSS certifications required Minimum one year of nursing experience required Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred Ability to perform bedside point of care testing Additional Information Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for complex cases Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to promote continuity and cost-effective care Participates in discharge planning and patient/family education Promotes a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis (every other holiday) American Traveler Job ID P-751085.
