Job Details Employment Type: Travel RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Location: Seattle, Washington Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts Start Date: October 5, 2026 End Date: April 5, 2027 Assignment Length: 26 weeks Orientation: 36 hours Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160 - $2,270 Schedule: Posted every 6 weeks and based on unit needs Weekend & Holiday Coverage: Required as needed Floating: May float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and other nearby women’s health areas based on skillset and census needs Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with compact licensure in hand at submission Minimum 3 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience required High-acuity and high-risk obstetric experience required Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit Current BLS and NRP certifications required Epic charting experience required Ability to circulate in the OR and support cesarean deliveries Experience functioning as Baby Nurse during delivery and newborn transition to postpartum Ability to provide newborn care, including assessments and routine interventions Willingness to work every other weekend and 3 of 5 major holidays as needed Strong references and required compliance documentation Responsibilities Provide skilled nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients Support vaginal and cesarean deliveries in a busy Labor and Delivery setting Circulate in the OR and assist with high-risk obstetric procedures Serve as Baby Nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum Perform newborn assessments and routine care, including eyes, thighs, and Vitamin K administration Monitor maternal and fetal status, including recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team Adapt to changing unit needs and support float assignments as needed Deliver compassionate, efficient care while maintaining patient safety and quality standards Apply now to join this Seattle, WA Labor and Delivery travel nursing opportunity and advance your career in women’s health.
