Job Details Location: Seattle, WA 98122 Specialty: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) Job Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN Schedule: 4x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Shift Duration: 12-hour days Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160 - $2,270 Assignment Length: 26 weeks Unit Type: High-risk, high-volume Labor & Delivery Weekly Hours: 36 Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends as needed Floating: May float to Postpartum, Antepartum, or other mother-baby areas based on unit needs Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license with compact eligibility at time of submission Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery, obstetric nursing, or high-acuity maternal-newborn experience required Experience in fast-paced, high-volume clinical settings Current BLS and NRP required Epic charting experience required Ability to circulate for C-sections Ability to provide newborn care, including newborn assessments, eye prophylaxis, and Vitamin K administration Strong experience with fetal monitoring and high-risk labor support Current supervisory references and required clinical documentation must be available at submission Must be comfortable working every other weekend and selected holidays as needed Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate patient care to laboring patients and newborns in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery environment Circulate during cesarean deliveries and support operative obstetric procedures Function as the baby nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum Perform newborn assessments, including APGAR support, thermoregulation, and immediate post-delivery care Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Assist with vaginal deliveries, high-risk deliveries, and postpartum recovery care Administer ordered medications and therapies such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Insulin per protocol Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure smooth, efficient, and patient-centered care Float to related maternal-newborn areas when needed to support unit operations Why Join This Seattle Healthcare Opportunity?
