Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with EX endorsement, additional certification preferred
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team to plan instruction, analyze data, and implement interventions and enrichments for students
• Demonstrate ability to develop and foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
• Proof of professional development in computers

Responsibilities & Duties

• Teach assigned content and skills in math and other assigned courses to middle school students and show written evidence of preparation
• Develop and maintain classroom conducive to effective learning with appropriate routines and procedures
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques to ensure student academic growth
• Work collaboratively within department to implement best practices and meet students' academic needs
• Communicate student progress and concerns regularly with parents and colleagues
• Work collaboratively within building to implement best practices and meet students' academic needs
• Attendance is an essential job function
• Administer standardized student assessments when needed
