Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of construction projects from initial planning through to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all project activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. This role will involve working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve project objectives and maintain strong professional relationships.


Key responsibilities will include developing and managing project programmes, budgets, procurement schedules and risk registers; coordinating design development and statutory approvals; appointing and managing subcontractors and suppliers; and monitoring progress against agreed milestones. You will chair or attend project meetings, provide clear progress reports, manage variations and claims, and ensure that all construction activities comply with contractual, regulatory, health and safety and environmental requirements. You will also identify potential issues at an early stage, implement effective mitigation plans and support the resolution of technical, commercial and operational challenges.


Applicants should have proven experience managing construction projects, ideally from pre-construction through practical completion, with a strong understanding of construction methods, contracts, cost control, programme management and quality assurance. A relevant qualification in construction, civil engineering, project management or a related discipline is desirable, together with excellent communication, negotiation, leadership and organisational skills. You will be confident making informed decisions, managing competing priorities and motivating project teams in a fast-paced environment. Professional accreditation or membership of an appropriate industry body would be advantageous. A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, integrity and customer service is essential.
