We are hiring for a Finance Associate to support our Finance Business Partnerships team at Chime. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring budgeting and forecasting accuracy while driving high‑impact strategic and financial initiatives. You’ll partner closely with business leaders and finance team members to provide insights, influence decision‑making, and help shape Chime’s financial strategy. This role also offers an opportunity to transform how Finance operates at Chime, moving from manual, reactive work toward a more strategic, insight‑driven function. You will own payroll and workforce planning end‑to‑end, partnering with People, Recruiting and Compensation to drive headcount planning, forecasting and investment decisions. You will also help lead efforts to leverage AI and automation across Finance, streamlining processes and improving forecasting capabilities. Additionally, you will contribute to highly visible cross‑functional projects that directly support company‑wide goals. The base salary begins at $101,000 and can go up to $140,000, with bonus and equity package. Responsibilities Own payroll and workforce planning end‑to‑end, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and strong partnership with People, Recruiting and Compensation teams. Build and maintain robust financial models to support headcount planning, forecasting and strategic decision‑making. Improve forecasting accuracy and visibility through thoughtful modeling and reporting enhancements. Partner across Finance Business Partnerships and with leaders across the company to understand current workflows, identify opportunities for improvement and drive more scalable, efficient ways of working. Lead the adoption of AI and automation within Finance, identifying high‑impact use cases and implementing solutions end‑to‑end to improve reporting, forecasting and overall efficiency. Operate as a trusted partner to leaders across the organization, influencing decisions through clear financial insights and trade‑off analysis. Independently drive strategic, cross‑functional projects from concept through execution. Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of Finance/FP&A, investment banking, consulting experience, or Big 4 accounting/advisory. Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other relevant field. Experience building financial models for budgeting and forecasting with strong attention to detail. Strong ownership mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive work to completion. Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive conversations across all levels. Demonstrated experience identifying, designing or deploying AI‑driven solutions within finance. Advanced Excel and G‑Suite skills; experience with tools such as Pigment, NetSuite, Looker, Workday, Snowflake or Python is a plus.
