Registered Nurse (RN) | Oncology Location: Alexandria, VA Agency: Concentric Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Oncology RN in Alexandria, Virginia, 22311 Job Title RN - Oncology Location Alexandria, VA Schedule / Job Type Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Outpatient | Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. | Five 8-hour shifts per week | No on-call requirements Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients at each clinic visit and manage symptoms related to cancer diagnosis and/or treatment Educate patients about their disease, treatment plan, and care continuum Assist with procedures in the outpatient clinic setting Rotate between phone symptom management and coordination duties and direct clinic patient support on an alternating schedule Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including medical oncologists, advanced practitioners, surgical oncology, and radiation oncology to ensure timely diagnostic evaluation and treatment Navigate patients through the care continuum under the direction of the oncology department manager Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience Strong organizational skills and effective verbal communication skills Proficiency with Epic/Beacon EMR Preferred Experience / Skills Chemotherapy certification Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification Experience with hematological malignancies and breast malignancies Why Join Us Work within a nationally recognized oncology program offering advanced treatments, clinical trials, and a comprehensive multidisciplinary care team dedicated to delivering exceptional cancer care Enjoy a stable Monday–Friday outpatient schedule with no on-call requirements and recognized holidays off #J-18808-Ljbffr TravelNurseSource
