We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee extrusion manufacturing operations within a highly regulated production environment. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant operations while meeting customer expectations, production targets, and quality standards. The successful candidate will lead production teams, drive operational excellence, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve manufacturing performance.

Description

Responsibilities :

• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, team leads, and production associates.
• Establish performance expectations, accountability measures, and employee development plans.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, training, and cross-training initiatives.
• Promote a culture focused on safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Direct daily manufacturing operations to achieve production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
• Monitor key performance indicators including throughput, labour efficiency, scrap reduction, and equipment utilisation.
• Coordinate resources to maximise production output while maintaining quality standards.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to production issues and non-conformances.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Operations teams to improve processes and equipment performance.
• Support preventive maintenance programmes, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions.
• Maintain accurate process documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, efficiency, and operational KPIs.
• Identify operational risks and opportunities and develop strategies to improve department performance.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience within extrusion operations.
• 3+ years of experience managing supervisors and production teams.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as medical devices, tubing, catheter, wire and cable, or similar industries.
• Strong understanding of thermoplastic extrusion processes, including tight-tolerance manufacturing.
• Knowledge of extrusion equipment, materials, tooling, and process controls.
• Experience with SPC, process validation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production planning processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Results-driven mindset with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
