Avacend Inc. is seeking a dedicated Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate-start ICU Float Pool opportunity in Atlanta, GA. This role involves providing expert nursing care to critically ill patients across various critical care units on the day shift. The ideal candidate is a skilled critical care nurse comfortable with frequent float assignments, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU Float Pool
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, responding promptly to emergencies
• Administer medications and treatments accurately
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care using Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Educate and support patients and their families
• Perform frequent float assignments between critical care units
• Manage hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, CRRT, and dysrhythmia assessments

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of critical care nursing experience
• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Active Georgia RN license or Compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring
• Vasopressor management
• Ventilator management
• CRRT

Additional Information

• Day shift only: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 12-hour shifts
• Pay: $50–$55/hour, depending on qualifications and experience level
• Immediate start available
• Onsite training and ongoing professional development provided
• Independent float pool assignments
• Report as part of a multidisciplinary team
