Veterinary Receptionist

Job description We are seeking a full-time veterinary receptionist to join our team! We are a PRIVATELY OWNED, 2 doctor practice, in the Arlington neighborhood of Jacksonville, FL. Candidates with veterinary reception experience are preferred. Candidates who have veterinary assistant experience or front desk experience in an animal boarding facility will also be considered. The candidate should be compassionate, have a great work ethic, be able to multi-task and be computer savvy. The receptionist is one of the most important roles in a veterinary hospital, so our candidate should be outgoing and charismatic. Responsibilities Greet each client with a smile and check patients in Have veterinary software experience (Avimark experience is a plus!) Have a good phone voice, be able to clearly and effectively give correct information out over the phone Schedule appointments using veterinary software Confirm appointments Be able to assess the difference between an emergency and non-emergency over the phone Be computer savvy and have good typing skills Have animal handling experience Have an understanding of basic Heartworm and Flea Preventives Be a compassionate listener Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients Benefits Dental insurance Employee discounts Health insurance Paid time off Training & development Vision insurance Health Insurance Dental/Vision Term Life Insurance Accident PTO Paid continuing education Employee discount Requirements 1-3 years of experience: 1 year of Veterinary Reception (Preferred) Customer service: 1 year (Preferred) Salary $16.00 - $22.00 per hour. Hours Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 6:00 pm, Saturdays 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Location In person. Education High School or Equivalent (Preferred). Languages English required.
