Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - PCU/IMC/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations with cardiac, nephrology, and stroke conditions.
• Titrate and manage various drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications.
• Participate in unit staffing with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 and support patient care techs.
• Collaborate effectively with the charge nurse, who does not take patient assignments.
• Maintain compliance with artificial nails prohibition in patient care settings.
• Complete an open book Pass/Fail exam with necessary resources, requiring a 90% to pass during orientation.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Nebraska.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
• Minimum one year of experience in PCU/IMC/Stepdown settings preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Driver's license required for compliance with the 50-mile radius rule.
