About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Financial Regulatory Reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of a variety of regulatory reports, including those for the Federal Reserve, Department of Treasury, and Department of Commerce. This role requires a strong working knowledge of financial accounting, regulatory reporting, and the financial industry, including various products such as loans, deposits, securities, derivatives, and money market products. The AVP will also be involved in the governance function of regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with changing reporting instructions and accounting standards, and maintaining procedure documentation. The position demands a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with experience in regulatory reporting tools and BI tools being preferred. Applicants for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting (advanced degree or professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are preferred) and a minimum of 5-7 years' experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, or a related field. The role requires the ability to handle multiple tasks, coordinate with various stakeholders, and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience with regulatory reporting tools such as Axiom and BI tools like Alteryx or Power BI is a plus. The position is well-suited for a professional who is adept at managing both production and governance aspects of regulatory reporting and is capable of supporting management and team members in a dynamic work environment.
