Anesthesiology Physician

Locum Anesthesiologist in Lewisburg, PA .

Shift: Standard day shifts, 10 hours (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

• Opportunity to provide anesthesia care in a community acute care hospital with a diverse surgical case mix.
• High demand for regional anesthesia skills, including nerve blocks for orthopedic procedures.
• Collaborative care model with anesthesiologists working alongside CRNAs and multidisciplinary teams.

Patient Population:
All ages, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Setting:
Rural acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide anesthesia services across a broad range of surgical and procedural specialties.
• Deliver patient-centered anesthesia care in collaboration with CRNAs, surgeons, and clinical staff.
• Perform regional anesthesia techniques, including nerve blocks.
• Manage cases including vascular, OB/GYN, general surgery, GI, pediatrics, plastics, orthopedics, robotics, and urology.
• Participate in weekday call coverage when needed.

Required Procedures:

• Regional anesthesia and nerve blocks.
• Spinal anesthesia.
• MAC anesthesia.
• Ultrasound-guided regional techniques.
• General anesthesia procedures.

EMR System: Epic

Support Staff: Anesthesiologists, CRNAs, surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary surgical services team.

Days Per Month: Coverage dates include:

• September 21-25, 2026
• October 5-9, 2026
• October 12-16, 2026
• October 19-23, 2026
• November 23-25, 2026
• November 23-27, 2026

On-Call/Weekends: Scheduled coverage with possible weekday call from 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM when needed. No routine weekend call listed.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Active PA license required.
• ACLS and PALS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
• NPDB Self Query Report (within past 6 Months)
