About the Position

Hospitalist

Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hospitalist to provide inpatient coverage at a community hospital. Coverage is primarily day shifts with a minimum commitment of 12-16 shifts per month. The provider will manage adult inpatients, provide basic ICU care, and work collaboratively with an established multidisciplinary hospitalist team.

Compensation: $185/hr

Shift Options:


7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (primarily)


7:00 PM - 7:00 AM


11:00 AM - 11:00 PM


No call responsibilities

Practice Setting


Acute Care Hospital


Inpatient Hospital Medicine


Closed ICU

Responsibilities


Manage adult inpatient admissions and ongoing care


Provide basic ICU-level management, including ventilated patients when needed


Supervise Physician Assistants at a low level


Collaborate with Critical Care, Geriatrics, Palliative Care, and specialty services


Perform procedures if credentialed (not required)

Practice Details


Adult patients (18+)


Approximately 18+ patients per day

10 Hospitalists


6 Physician Assistants


Intensivist support during peak hours


Approximately 35,000 annual emergency department visits

EMR: Epic

Requirements


Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine


Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC Letter of Qualification


DEA required


BLS certification


ACLS certification


Minimum of:


270 inpatient encounters within the past 12 months, or


Completion of an ARC-PA program within the past 12 months

Additional Information


Collegial, well-established hospitalist program with more than 12 years of experience


Strong specialty support available


Basic ICU management expected; procedures are optional if credentialed
