About the Position

A new Medical Oncology & Hematology practice is seeking a Locum Hematology/Oncology Physician for full time coverage. This is a community based practice focused on adult patients with general oncology & hematology needs.

The clinic is located within an acute care hospital and the physician will also provide inpatient consultations when needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hematology & oncology care for adult patients
• Evaluate, diagnose & manage oncology and hematology conditions
• Provide inpatient hematology/oncology consultations when needed
• Develop & manage individualized treatment plans
• Coordinate care with nursing, medical assistants, navigators & support staff
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EPIC
• Participate in weeknight & weekend call coverage
• Collaborate with the existing physician & multidisciplinary care team

Working Hours

• Full time coverage
• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 4 days per week may be considered
• Weeknight & weekend call available/optional
• Call coverage approximately 1:2, with a 60/40 distribution

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
• Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC LOQ required for presentation
• Active DEA required
• Adult patient experience required
• Community based Hematology/Oncology experience preferred
