About the Position

Description

We are seeking a General Cardiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania . This position offers a combination of outpatient clinic coverage, cardiac procedures, diagnostic testing, and hospital call . The ideal provider should be experienced with nuclear cardiology and echocardiography, with CT reading experience considered a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive General Cardiology services in clinic and hospital settings.
• Evaluate and manage adult cardiology patients.
• Manage approximately 17–18 patients per day .
• Perform and interpret nuclear cardiology studies .
• Perform and interpret echocardiography .
• Conduct stress testing and related cardiac evaluations.
• Perform TEE procedures and cardioversions .
• Manage echo monitors and other cardiac diagnostic studies.
• Provide hospital consultations and follow-up care.
• Participate in night and weekend call coverage .
• Support inpatient cardiology services and round as needed.
• Collaborate with APPs and other cardiology providers.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR .

• Standard Day: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

• September 26–27: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM — 24-Hour Call
• October 5–9: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• October 19–23: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• October 23: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM — Night Call
• October 24–25: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM — 24-Hour Call
• November 2–6: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• November 16–20: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• November 30–December 4: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• December 4: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM — Night Call
• December 5–6: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM — 24-Hour Call
• December 14–18: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• Provider is ideally expected to cover all listed dates ; 1–2 weeks of RTO may be considered.
• Approximately 1–2 nights of call per week .
• Approximately 1:4–5 weekend call coverage .
• Temps available with a clean credentialing file.
• 2 hours gratis .

Requirements

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology.
• Nuclear Cardiology board certification required.
• Echocardiography board certification required.
• CT board certification/read experience is preferred but not required .
• Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC accepted.
• DEA required.
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiology experience .
• Experience with nuclear reads, stress tests, TEE, cardioversions, and echocardiography.
• Comfortable providing both outpatient and hospital-based cardiology care.
• Clean credentialing file preferred.
