The Department of General Services (DGS) is seeking a dynamic Office Building Manager IV to join our Facilities Management Division (FMD) in Los Angeles, CA. Under the general direction of the Assistant Deputy Director, the Office Building Manager IV in the Facilities Management Division (FMD), LA Metro serves as the Regional Building Manager over LA Metro, and is responsible for directing and supervising a very large staff engaged in the overall custodial operations and maintenance services for a metropolitan area which aggregate 2M sq/ft or more buildings in a major metropolitan area of State-owned and occupied buildings and grounds in accordance with FMD policies and procedures. This position is responsible for the overall administration and maintenance of LA Metro, and will plan and assign work of subordinate staff, and develop an overall master maintenance schedule. Responsibilities Manages and oversees the day-to-day operation of the assigned building(s) and staff by developing overall master maintenance schedules Reviewing and approving final budget estimates for repair, maintenance, and custodial operations, monitoring expenses, financial reports, and projecting cost variances Supervises, directs, and evaluates staff by monitoring and establishing performance expectations and requirements, providing training, hiring and maintaining adequate staff Maintaining excellent customer service while balancing competing priorities Project management of contracted services such as building alternations and improvements Administering health and safety programs Team & Culture A collaborative team atmosphere founded upon ethics, integrity, and stewardship.
