Inventory Clerk

Pay Rate: $25 per hour
Location: Bensenville, IL
Duration: 90 days (with potential for temp-to-hire)
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Position Overview
Responsible for counting merchandise in stock and recording totals in inventory records. Duties include comparing inventory levels with office records or calculating figures from sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to determine current inventory status. The role involves verifying clerical computations against the physical count, correcting discrepancies, investigating reasons for errors, and reporting as needed. Additional responsibilities include generating inventory balance or shortage reports, preparing lists of depleted items, and recommending surveys of defective or unusable items. Work is performed in a warehouse environment with three temperature zones: dry, cooler, freezer.

Description & Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Daily tasks include counting stock merchandise, posting inventory totals, reconciling inventory with office records, verifying and correcting discrepancies, generating inventory reports, preparing lists of depleted or defective items, and recommending further actions as necessary. The environment consists of work across dry storage, refrigerated, and freezer areas.

Must have:
Technical Skill Sets:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to use Microsoft Teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Top Three PREFERRED Technical Skill Sets:

• Advanced Excel formatting skills
• Experience with data analysis

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills

• GED or High School Diploma

• Two years of prior warehouse or inventory-related experience
