Director of Operations

Directs and ensures that the Operations team is strategically posiitoned to deliver quality products and service to stakeholders. This role oversees planning, production, maintenance and facility management, procurement, and customer service; develops and manages key performance metrics with regular two-way reporting to other directors and managers; partners with Quality Assurance to drive continuous improvement; and complies with, enforces, and supports company, regulatory, and compliance policies and procedures. KEY areaS of Responsibility Include Operational leadership & strategy Production, planning, & procurement Safety, facilities, & continuous improvement Customer & stakeholder engagement People leadership Qualifications Bachelors degree in Management, Engineering (BSME/IE), or equivalent. MBA preferred. 8+ years experience in a progressive leadership role in aerospace manufacturing or a related industry, including management experience Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience with and working knowledge of composites manufacturing. Experience in inspection and reading blueprints. Strong team leader and coach who treats others with dignity and respect. Good character and excellent work ethic. Self-motivated problem-solver. Experience with and working knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards. Experience with MRP and Lean Manufacturing concepts and software. Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
