Retail Scan Associate (Henrico, VA 23233)

Position Overview The base hours for this position average from 7 to 9 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours (typically 1–2 hours per week per store) are frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Full scheduling details will be reviewed during the interview. Responsibilities Visit designated stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. Provide quantity for approximately 45% of the products scanned. Complete display scanning for the entire store every week, which may take several hours. Perform custom projects as requested by clients; these add about 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store per week. Report to the store within the described deadline and submit completed data on time. Analyze collected data to improve sales performance for the product and retailer. Adhere to weekly deadlines and maintain high data quality. Benefits Competitive compensation of $16 per hour. Ability to bend, stretch, stoop, and stand comfortably. Comfortable performing repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods. Work Locations Retail Scan Associates work at both major national chains such as Walmart, Kroger, Target, Albertsons, and at small independent retailers. Store types include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores. Example locations: Henrico, VA 23233 (Wednesday or Thursday) and Richmond, VA 23226 (Wednesday or Thursday). Each store is visited once per week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Weekly Schedule Weekly tasks include full display scanning, data entry for approximately 45% of scanned items, and completion of custom project tasks as requested.
