Certified Respiratory Therapist (New Grads Welcome)

Overview Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – Earn $1,206 – $1,623 per week (3×12s). Night shift, full‑time. Base pay $33.50 – $45.09 per hour plus shift differentials and a sign‑on bonus of $15,000 for qualified candidates. Opportunity to work in a high‑acuity, critical care environment within a large healthcare system located in the Chicago Metro Area. Responsibilities Serve as Lead Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the absence of a supervisor, overseeing operations during shifts. Provide respiratory care and pulmonary therapy per physician orders. Manage mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway management. Perform and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis. Conduct pulmonary diagnostic procedures and patient assessments. Implement patient‑specific care plans. Document patient care, interventions, and outcomes accurately. Respond to critical care situations and emergencies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Qualifications State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate upon hire, with maintenance required. At least 2 years experience as an RCP preferred. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate within 60 days of hire, with maintenance required. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certificate within 60 days of hire, with maintenance required. Associate degree or Bachelor of Science preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
