Who Thrives Here (and Who Doesn’t) You’ll do well here if you: Take ownership of field work and solve problems without being told what to do Are comfortable working independently in customer environments Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal teams This role is likely not a fit if you: Prefer working in a shop or controlled environment Need constant direction or supervision Struggle with travel, on-call responsibilities, or customer-facing work What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days) Learn ACECO service standards, safety expectations, and documentation processes Independently complete inspections, maintenance, and basic repairs Build trust with customers through professionalism and technical competence Accurately document service work and communicate findings Begin handling more complex troubleshooting scenarios independently Field Impact – Your work directly affects customer safety and equipment uptime Autonomy – Work independently with strong internal support Technical Growth – Work on complex industrial and nuclear lifting equipment that many technicians never get exposure to Stability – Established company with long-term workforce and strong reputation What You’ll Do Field Service & Technical Work Travel to customer sites to perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs Service electric overhead cranes and hoists (mechanical and electrical systems) Troubleshoot and repair 480 VAC / 3-phase electrical systems Perform work independently while adhering to all safety and quality standards Customer Interaction & Communication Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and internal teams Represent ACECO professionally at all job sites Provide clear updates and recommendations based on equipment condition Documentation & Reporting Complete accurate service reports and documentation Track work performed, findings, and follow-up needs Maintain accountability for service quality and reporting accuracy On-Call & Travel Responsibilities Participate in on-call rotation Travel locally, regionally, and/or nationally as required Support urgent customer needs when necessary What We’re Looking For Education High school diploma or GED required Technical or trade certifications preferred Experience 3-5+ years of hands‑on experience servicing electric overhead cranes and hoists strongly preferred Strong field service experience in industrial environments Technical Skills Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (480 VAC / 3-phase systems) Solid mechanical troubleshooting and repair capability Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards, lockout/tagout, and fall protection Skills & Attributes Ability to work independently with minimal supervision High attention to detail and follow-through Reliable, accountable, and self‑directed Alignment with ACECO values: Work Hard, Have Fun, and Do the Right Thing Requirements Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship Ability to verify identity and employment authorization (Form I‑9) Eligibility to access export-controlled information where applicable Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with applicable laws Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment drug screen and randomized drug testing during employment Ability to meet the posted work schedule and travel requirements Ability to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality Willingness to follow all company safety policies and procedures Willingness to wear appropriate PPE when required Willingness to complete required safety and compliance training Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to maintain professional conduct aligned with company expectations Additional Requirements for the Position Ability to travel locally, regionally, and/or nationally up to a total of 3 months within a 12‑month span Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record Ability to obtain and maintain a REAL ID or valid U.S. Passport Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to nuclear facilities and secure sites Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, climb ladders, and perform confined space work Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to weather, noise, and moving equipment Schedule Full-time | Travel and on-call required based on assignment Location This posting is specifically for Fort Pierce, FL or Port St Lucie, FL areas.
