JOB OVERVIEW
To provide Speech and Language services to studentsPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate accurate, up-to-date knowledge of content and Illinois State Standards Provide service to children 6-8 with identified speech/language needs Participate in team meetings Conduct evaluations of students as neededImplement speech and language components of students' Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) Assessment of speech and language needs Participate in annual reviews and individual education plan meetings This job description intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by employees assigned to this position and is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities. The District reserves the right to amend and change responsibilities to meet business and organizational needs as necessary.QUALIFICATIONS
Letters of application Recommendations and/or references Ability to work as a team member and previous experience with children is preferred. Must hold, or be eligible for, a valid Illinois Speech/Language Pathology Teaching Certificate. A Master's Degree is preferred. Past experience teaching the specific class will be considered first. If no previous teaching experience in the specific class, recent coursework or student teaching in the subject will be considered. The ability to speak a foreign language/Spanish is strongly preferred.
