Ambulatory Medical Assistant – Full TimeRome Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team, in Rome and Oneida. This position supports providers and clinical staff by performing a combination of administrative and clinical duties in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The Medical Assistant plays an important role in coordinating patient care, supporting daily operations, and helping ensure a positive patient experience.Responsibilities:Assist providers and nursing staff with patient care and clinical proceduresPrepare patients for appointments, procedures, and treatmentsObtain and document vital signs and patient informationOrganize and maintain patient records and medical documentationCoordinate scheduling, testing, and follow-up appointmentsCommunicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and outside healthcare facilitiesCollect laboratory specimens, including phlebotomy and microbiology swabsPerform EKG testing as directedPrepare exam and treatment areas and maintain clinical suppliesSupport patient flow and help ensure efficient daily operationsMaintain patient confidentiality and follow all safety and compliance standardsQualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredPrior experience working in a hospital, ambulatory, or medical office setting preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environmentBasic clinical and computer skills preferred
