Job Opportunity: Emergency Medicine or Family Practice Physician
Our organization, located in Baker City, Oregon, operates a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH) dedicated to serving Baker County and nearby communities in eastern Oregon. We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Emergency Medicine or Family Practice physician who is board certified or board eligible to join our Emergency Department, which holds a Level IV Trauma Designation in the state.
The ideal candidate will embrace a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to patient care within the Emergency Department, contributing to the regional demands of the Oregon Trauma System and our Trauma Network.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients.
- Work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team.
- Support the regional trauma system and network.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA residency in family practice or emergency medicine.
- Board certification or eligibility in emergency medicine or family practice.
- Oregon medical licensure and privileges at our facility.
- Completion of required privileging delineation, including ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications.
- Valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
This position is a .9 FTE role, requiring the physician to work 24-hour shifts, totaling 72 shifts per year. Our support system includes:
- 24/7 CRNA Anesthesia services.
- A Level IV Trauma Center.
- An on-site Family Medicine clinic.
- Access to community family medicine clinics.
- Specialty physicians from our larger health system who rotate for outreach services.
