Maintenance Technician

Role Summary As a Fleet Technician I, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all Mobile Storage rental fleet equipment, including containers, ground level office trailers, and modular buildings. You will perform cleaning and maintenance tasks safely and in accordance with company standards, and collaborate with Equipment Associates to complete assignments on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Perform basic maintenance and repairs: remove and repair flooring, tiles, roofs, walls, frames, doors, leaks, caulking, windows, screens, painting, filters/dampers, and replace skins and trim. Tag equipment and install or remove UR decals and equipment numbers. Hook mobile offices to power sources, check tire pressure and lugs, and complete assignments on work orders. Travel to customer sites to set office trailers and assist CDL‑A drivers when needed. Follow manufacturer specifications, state and local building codes, and approved specifications for equipment modifications. Maintain an organized shop, yard, tools and supplies, and follow United Rentals 5S guidelines. Conduct inbound and outbound equipment inspections and process rental flow procedures. Operate forklifts safely and showcase fleet to customers when required. Safely install and uninstall Value Added Products (VAPs) per reservation requirements. Accurately record time and material used for proper work order completion. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Active, applicable state class driver’s license. Related maintenance experience is a plus. Basic verbal and written communication skills. Background in construction and knowledge of heavy equipment and tools. Strong teamwork and customer service orientation. Demonstrated time‑management skills. Ability to utilize required information technology. Accurate record‑keeping for time and materials.
