Maintenance TechnicianPay Rate: 27-29/HR Hours: M-F 7am - 4pm Location: 505 Montgomery St. San Francisco 94111 (20th fl) Duration: 8 weeks with possible extensionOverview of Work Environment/Client Nuances: Office space covering 8 floors. Candidate will be on their feet most days. Candidate will need to be able to get down on the floor and get back up frequently. There will be client interaction.Team Overview: Candidate will be working mostly independently. Resource's typical working day: General office maintenance, painting and patching, basic plumbing, basic carpentry, setting up for events - furniture set up, vendor escorting.Must Have Skills: Good customer service skills, self-starter, proactive, high level of professionalism, general maintenance skills, basic carpentry skills, experience with troubleshooting office appliances - ice machines, dish washers, coffee machines, etc.Nice to have skills: Writing proficiency, good communication skills, team player and flexible.Years of Experience: 1-3 years Education: h.s. diploma or GED Software skills: Basic computer skills, emailing skillsInterview Process: 1st round with H.M (Teams), 2nd round in-person with site-manager.About the Role: As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.What You'll Do: Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems. Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs. Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems. Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion. Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently. Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner. Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail. Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.What You'll Need: High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
