Help Desk Specialist

Salary: $55,120 - 61,984 per year Requirements:

• Proficiency with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and macOS, along with common business software including Microsoft Office/365 and Adobe products
• Working knowledge of basic networking concepts, including TCP/IP and LAN/WAN, plus printer troubleshooting
• Experience using remote desktop and diagnostic tools
• Familiarity with help desk ticketing platforms
• Strong customer service mindset with patience, empathy, and a focus on user satisfaction
• Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics in simple terms
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently
• Careful attention to detail when logging incidents, documenting actions, and closing tickets
• Ability to handle multiple requests at once and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of technical support experience
• Ability to relocate to Buffalo, NY 14228 before starting work

• Serve as the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues by phone, email, chat, or in person
• Investigate and diagnose hardware, software, operating system, and network connectivity problems, then guide users through step-by-step fixes
• Record, prioritize, track, and document support requests and resolutions in a help desk ticketing system
• Escalate unresolved or more complex issues to higher-level support teams and follow up until the issue is resolved
• Install, configure, and carry out minor repairs on computers, peripherals, and software for new and current employees
• Manage user accounts, including creating accounts, resetting passwords, and handling permissions in systems such as Active Directory or Microsoft 365
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and training resources such as user guides, FAQs, and SOPs

We are offering a full-time Helpdesk Specialist role with an hourly rate of $26.50 to $29.80 and expected hours of at least 40 per week.
