The Spotter/Scale House Attendant at Northern Recycling, LLC, plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operations of our recycling facility. This role involves overseeing the movement of vehicles within the facility, directing them to the appropriate areas, and accurately recording and documenting weight and other relevant information for incoming and outgoing materials. The spotter/scale house attendant acts as a liaison between drivers, site personnel, and management to maintain smooth operations at Northern Recycling, LLC.

• Vehicle Movement Oversight:
• Safely direct incoming and outgoing vehicles within the Northern Recycling facility, ensuring adherence to established traffic patterns and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with drivers to guide them to designated loading, unloading, or dumping areas based on their respective recycling needs.
• Maintain constant awareness of vehicle movement to prevent accidents and minimize congestion.
• Weighing and Documentation:
• Accurately weigh vehicles using Northern Recycling's weighing equipment, ensuring proper positioning and calibration.
• Record and document weight data, vehicle information, and materials being recycled for both inbound and outbound traffic.
• Generate appropriate documentation, such as recycling tickets or receipts, to provide to drivers and maintain accurate records.
• Customer Interaction:
• Interact professionally and courteously with drivers, providing clear instructions and assistance as needed.
• Address driver inquiries regarding recycling procedures, safety guidelines, and other facility-related information.
• Data Management:
• Enter weight and vehicle information into Northern Recycling's computerized system or software accurately and promptly.
• Maintain organized records of all recycling transactions, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for reporting and auditing purposes.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety protocols, guidelines, and recycling regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel and visitors at Northern Recycling.
• Monitor and report any safety hazards or violations to appropriate supervisors or management.
• Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with Northern Recycling's personnel, drivers, and management to optimize operational efficiency and resolve any recycling-related issues.
• Communicate effectively to coordinate activities and updates related to vehicle movement and weighing procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
• Microsoft Office experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording recycling data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Familiarity with recycling regulations and safety protocols.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift heavy objects.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred but not required.
