Site Reliability Engineer (Consumer Banking)

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in site reliability engineering, with 3+ years of applied experience in NAMR, APAC (India), LATAM, or Hong Kong; advanced applied experience in EMEA or Brazil; Singapore candidates should follow local country guidance.
• Proficiency in SRE culture and principles, including implementing SRE practices for an application or platform.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .NET.
• Working knowledge of enterprise-authorized AI tools for SRE workflows, with strong validation practices and awareness of data sensitivity.
• Ability to validate AI-assisted operational recommendations, escalate when uncertain, and follow data sensitivity requirements.
• Knowledge of software applications and technical processes in a technical discipline such as cloud, AI, or Android.
• Experience with observability, including white- and black-box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling.
• Familiarity with containers, orchestration, and troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues.
• Preferred: Experience supporting SRE practices for data management or migration platforms, and familiarity with on-premises or public cloud components such as compute, storage, networks, and databases.
• Preferred: Understanding of SRE fundamentals, including monitoring, incident response, capacity awareness, toil identification, and defining and tracking relevant SLOs and SLIs.
• Preferred: Experience with programming or configuration and resource management tools such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Preferred: Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Preferred: Experience with applications and platforms in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments, including Kubernetes, ECS, or Docker.

• Guide and support colleagues in developing appropriate designs, building consensus, and adopting SRE best practices.
• Partner with software engineers and other teams to design, develop, test, and implement deployment and reliability approaches using automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Use authorized AI tools to assist with incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis, validating results and handling operational data according to security and sensitivity requirements.
• Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for assigned applications and platforms.
• Work with technical experts, stakeholders, and team members to solve complex problems and address issues proactively using service level indicators and objectives before customers are affected.
• Apply authorized AI tools to identify reliability risks and recurring toil in operational signals, prioritizing reusable improvements tied to SLO outcomes.
• Collaborate with partners to iteratively improve application availability, reliability, and scalability.
• Identify roadblocks and improvements that address business problems, exploring new technologies where appropriate.
• Configure, maintain, monitor, and optimize applications and their associated infrastructure, decomposing and improving existing solutions.
• Share knowledge of end-to-end operations, availability, reliability, and scalability with the team.
