Lead Site Reliability Engineer - Public Cloud

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in SRE, production engineering, platform reliability, or infrastructure operations at enterprise scale.
• Proven ability to establish standards across teams and improve reliability measurably through influence and effective operating practices.
• Strong knowledge of SLOs and SLIs, error budgets, observability, incident response, postmortems, and change reliability.
• Experience working with Engineering and Product leaders to align priorities and deliver results.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, plus automation and infrastructure-as-code fundamentals such as Python, Go, Bash, Terraform, or CI/CD.
• Experience applying AI or LLM-enabled methods to operations, such as AIOps, AI-assisted troubleshooting, or agentic workflows, with suitable controls and measurement.
• Preferred: a track record of improving SLO attainment, reducing severe and repeat incidents, lowering MTTR/MTTI and change failure rates, reducing customer impact, or deflecting support tickets through automation and self-service.
• Preferred: experience establishing an operating model across SRE teams and producing trusted executive reporting.

• Set and scale consistent SRE practices across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including SLOs, on-call readiness, runbooks, postmortems, action tracking, and operational readiness.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to incorporate reliability goals into roadmaps and delivery plans, translating incident data, support signals, and error-budget trends into prioritized work.
• Establish and lead operating routines such as incident and stability reviews, KPI reviews, and planning; standardize intake and prioritization and follow work through to completion.
• Align reliability operations with risk and control expectations, and use centralized automation to address recurring issues such as configuration drift and repeat findings.
• Identify major sources of support demand and operational toil, maintain an automation pipeline, and measure adoption and ticket deflection.
• Own cross-platform reporting on SLO performance, incident trends, MTTR/MTTI, change failure rates, ticket deflection, customer impact, and cost of failure.
• Apply AI and LLMs to improve triage, incident summaries, correlation, symptom mapping, and controlled automation; assess accuracy, safety, and results.
• Stay engaged in technical designs and key implementations, lead systemic remediation, and improve major incident response.
