About the Role
The Company is seeking a Regional Vice President of Development for Affordable Housing. This senior leadership role is pivotal in leading the execution and growth of a regional affordable housing development pipeline. The successful candidate will be responsible for all phases of the development process, from sourcing and feasibility to construction completion and stabilization. Key responsibilities include originating and structuring new affordable and mixed-income housing opportunities, negotiating business terms, overseeing financial aspects, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The role also involves leading a team, fostering collaboration, and maintaining strong relationships with various stakeholders. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' commercial real estate development experience, with a focus on affordable housing projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex multifamily or affordable housing developments and a strong knowledge of affordable housing finance structures. Leadership experience, excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills are essential. The role requires the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for an advanced degree. The candidate should be adept at financial modeling, underwriting, and project management, and be prepared to represent the company in industry forums while staying abreast of affordable housing policy and market conditions.
