Job Description:

The RN in the ICU is responsible for providing optimal patient care to individuals with severe and potentially life-threatening conditions. This role requires the ability to manage critical care patients, interpret and document ECG strips, and titrate drips as necessary.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care for trauma, cardiac, overdose/substance abuse, and other critical conditions.
Titrate various drips, including cardiac, insulin, and sedation.
Operate and troubleshoot RT equipment from nasal cannula to ventilator.
Read, interpret, and document telemetry monitor strips.
Float to PCU or MedSurg with similar patient ratios as assigned in the ICU.

Requirements:

Valid RN license submission.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
Pass a skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation.
Willingness to comply with fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails.
