Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) - Tom Wood Group

As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) at Tom Wood Inc, you will play a critical role in aligning business objectives with employees and management within the Tom Wood Group. You will act as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, serving as an employee champion and change agent. Your strategic partnership will help drive organizational effectiveness and foster a positive workplace culture in our Indianapolis, IN location. Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to develop HR strategies that support organizational goals and drive performance.
• Provide guidance and support on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
• Manage talent management initiatives, including workforce planning, succession planning, and performance management.
• Facilitate communication between management and employees to ensure clear understanding of organizational policies and practices.
• Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
• Support change management initiatives and help drive the company culture aligned with Tom Wood Inc’s values.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Lead or support employee engagement activities and initiatives that foster a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar HR role, preferably within an automotive or dealership environment.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and employee relations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
