Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 9 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Tennessee license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - Tristar Division.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Start IVs, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes. Special Requests: Any special scheduling requests must be made with manager upon arrival at facility. Unit Details: 3rd Neuro Med/Surg unit. Uses IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology. Shift & Scheduling: 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4 week schedule. Floating Requirements: Contract labor is first to float; go by rotation when there are multiple contract labor staff scheduled.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
