The ideal candidate is able to complete all stages of model creation - from blockout to implementation in the engine, is familiar with various pipelines and has a deep understanding of form, construction and materials. Superpowers you have are Confident SubD modeling in Max / Maya; Knowledge of CAD modeling; Sculpt of the hard surface assers in Zbrush; Confident level of skill in creating low-poly models and retopology, understanding the principles of modular systems, the ability to optimally distribute polygons on the asset; Ability to create optimal UV mapping for various types of textures (tiles, rectangular, UDIM); Ability to bake in several programs to solve problems encountered during baking; Texturing in Substance Painter; Basic knowledge of Substance Designer; Understanding of the import and materials setting in the engines (UnrealEngine 4, Unity, Lumberyard etc); Understanding of modern pipelines and requirements for creating realistic weapons and equipment; Ability to follow and correctly interpret / improve the concept idea; You’re a rockstar if you have Knowledge of Marvelous Designer; Materials creation in Substance Designer; English at Intermediate level and above. As a part of Room 8 studio, you will Create high-poly and low-poly models of equipment and weapons for games on given concepts and requirements; Create optimal UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.); Texturing; Work with game engines.
