RN - Medical Surgical 4&5 Lied

Staff RN – Med Surg (Shift 4/5 LIE). 40‑bed med‑surg and telemetry unit focused on post‑operative orthopedic and complex medical issues. Nurses provide comprehensive patient care, including management of drips, chest tubes, tracheostomies, wound care, high‑oxygen delivery systems, and end‑of‑life care. Duties Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health‑care providers to meet the holistic needs of a designated group of patients in a variety of care settings, including long‑term, emergent, critical, acute, interventional, or procedural driven environments. Required Qualifications Registered Nurse with an associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) or nursing diploma. Current Nebraska RN license or a current compact state license. Effective communication skills. Initiative, teamwork, and flexibility. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an AHA‑endorsed program (effective January1,2023 or later). Depending on department: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire or transfer date. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) within one year of hire or transfer date. Preferred Qualifications Direct patient care experience. Experience in one or more areas: cardiology, cardiac drip management, critical care, emergency department, medical‑surgical, obstetrics, cardiovascular rehabilitation, telemetry, oncology, neonatal intensive care, pediatric acute care, solid organ transplant, cath lab, EP lab, quality assurance, perioperative and special procedures. Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) or Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN). Courses: STABLE, smoking cessation counseling, basic critical care, or other specialty training.
