Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Automation Technician with strong hands-on experience in injection molding automation, robot programming, and troubleshooting.
Title: Automation Technician
Location: Libertyville, IL
Mandatory Requirements
- 4+ years of injection molding automation experience
- Hands-on robot programming and troubleshooting
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, servo motors, VFDs, and motion control
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot molding automation equipment, robots, conveyors, sensors, and vision systems.
- Program and optimize molding robots such as FANUC, Sepro, Yushin, or Wittmann.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
- Support mold trials, new product launches, and automation improvements.
- Work with engineering and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Maintain equipment documentation and follow safety standards.
Education
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Robotics, or Automation preferred.
