This full-time contract position runs from August 26, 2026, through June 3, 2027, providing invaluable support to a small group of students in grades 3 and 4. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, weekdays from 8:40AM to 3:25PM, fostering growth and helping each child reach their full potential in a supportive, collaborative setting.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current active licensure and certification as a Special Education Teacher in Illinois
• Prior experience in a school-based special education setting
• Expertise in managing and supporting a classroom of students with diverse needs
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to a dedicated caseload of five 3rd and 4th grade students
• Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Track student progress and maintain necessary documentation
• Participate in meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
